In 2016 I made recordings in a number of locations in and around Pond 14 (also known as Parker Pond). I've known it as Pond 14 since I was a child, and its name supposedly comes from the number of feet the pond is elevated above sea level. It's an artificial body of water which exemplifies a number of ways in which human intervention has shaped the Coonamessett River, and has become a habitat for a variety of flora and fauna. The side-stream is likely to have been used to power a mill, since it exits the middle of the pond and travels mostly straight and at a somewhat faster pace than the river itself.

The upper pond recordings were taken from the Bartolomei conservation parcel off Sandwich Road 300committee.org/conservation-lands/daniel-and-carmela-bartolomei-conservation-area/, while the side stream, weir, mid, and lower pond recordings were taken by accessing the pond from John Parker Road.

Tracks 1 - 3 are one continuous mix, while track 4 is a separate mix.
